Barry represented California for seven terms in the U.S. Congress, serving on the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the Joint Committee on Energy, and the Committee on Science and Technology. He retired from politics in 1983 and began an extremely successful career in business, and currently serves as a Director on several boards.
